PA Modi said - many challenges including Corona in the country, trouble medicine only strengthened

The PM said that this is the time to be vocal for the local. Major reforms were announced under the self-sufficient India campaign, now they are being launched on the ground. Modi said that the ICC has seen a lot since its formation and has been a part of India's development journey. This year's meeting is being held at a time when the country is facing many difficulties. Today there is corona virus in the country, there is a challenge of grasshoppers, if there is a fire, earthquakes are coming every day, in the meantime two cyclones have also come. Sometimes time also takes our test.

‘Need to make Covid-19 crisis major turning point for nation’: PM Modi during 95th annual plenary session of Chamber of Commerce

“The entire world is fighting Covid-19 and so is India. Other kinds of adversities are also arising amid these trying times,” PM Modi said.

The entire nation is not just fighting Covid-19 but also facing multiple challenges, prime minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday. PM Modi stated that every citizen of the country has resolved to turn this crisis into an opportunity. “We have to make this a major turning point for this nation. What is that turning point? A self-reliant India,” he said.

PM’s comments came during the inaugural address on the occasion of 95th annual plenary session of Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) on Thursday. The ICC is one of the top bodies representing businesses and industries in the eastern and north-eastern India.

The prime minister said that the entire world is fighting Covid-19 and so is India. “Other adversities are also arising amid these trying times,” the PM said.

“We all have come together to withstand these challenges,” he said.

Mann ke hare haar, mann ke hare jeet - it means that only our firm resolve and determination can decide our future,” the PM said.

The same medicine of trouble - strength

PM Modi said, 'As a nation, willpower is our great strength. The only medicine for trouble is strength. At the moment I can see a new faith and hope on the face of the ICC members and on the faces of crores of countrymen. The whole country is filled with a resolve to turn this disaster into an opportunity.

It's time to recognize the opportunity

PM Modi said, 'This is the time to recognize the opportunity, try yourself and move towards new highs. If this is the biggest crisis, then we should take full advantage of it, while learning the biggest from it.

The country has to be self-sufficient

PM Modi said, 'Every Indian has lived like an aspiration for years of self-sufficiency, but still a big wish has been in every Indian's mind, in his mind. Everything that the country is forced to import, how it should be made in India, how India should become an exporter of the same products in future, we have to work faster in this direction.

Become a vocal for local

The PM said, 'We do not only buy things from these small business people, do not give money, reward their hard work, increase respect. We do not even know how much this affects their heart, how proud they feel. '

Lose heart, win win

PM Modi said, 'All the crisis we are fighting together. Sometimes time also tests us. We have also experienced that even in such a test, our resolve brings a guarantee of a bright future. How strongly we are fighting the difficulties, it determines the opportunities to come. Defeat the mind, win the victory of the mind, ie our willpower determines our path forward. The one who already accepts the defeat, new opportunities are not seen far and wide. At the same time, one who moves ahead by supporting each other, new opportunities come a lot for him.

Work for people, planet and profit

PM Modi said, 'People, Planet and Profit are interlinked. All three can flourish together, live together. Let me give you some examples. Such as LED bulb. 5-6 years ago an LED bulb was available for more than three and a half rupees, today, about 19 thousand crores of countrymen are saved in electricity bills due to LED. These savings have been made to the poor, this savings has been made to the middle class of the country. Another campaign is going on in India, a campaign to free the country from single-use plastic. People, Planet and Profit all three subjects are present in it. Especially for West Bengal, it is very beneficial. This increases your chances of growing the jute business. Approach to the people, by the people and Planet friendly development has now become a part of governance in the country, which is our technological intervention, that is also the people,

Freed the agricultural economy from years of slavery

The PM said, 'The recent decisions for farmers and rural economy have freed the agriculture economy from years of slavery. Now the farmers of India have got the freedom to sell their produce, their produce anywhere in the country. The cluster based approach for local products which is now being promoted in India also has opportunities for everyone. Clusters associated with these will be developed in the districts where the blocks are produced.

Banking services reaching backward people

PM Modi said, 'Now the scope of banking service in the country is reaching all backward people. Through DBT, JAM i.e. Jan Dhan, Aadhaar and mobile, it has become possible to provide necessary support to crores of beneficiaries without leakage. You are aware that small self help groups, MSMEs, on the GEM platform can provide their goods and services directly to the Government of India. Invest in R&D and manufacturing of better batteries to increase the capacity of solar panel manufacturing, power storage in the country and come with MSMEs from institutions that are engaged in this task.

The PM had said, 'Bringing back the growth is not so difficult. The biggest thing is that Indian industries have a clear goal of self-sufficiency. ' The Prime Minister had said that the country now needs to make 'Made in India' products, which should be 'Made for the World'.
